Background: Brian is a web and intranet developer, designer, and content producer living in Atlanta. He earned his B.S. in Technical Communications from Northeastern University. Brian's appreciation for the value of meaningful communication between user and computer led him to pursue his M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction at Iowa State. His research interests include: computer-supported collaborative learning and the use of technology to improve learning environments; discovering ways that ubiquitous computing technologies might be applied to improve human life quality; finding novel ways to help people visualize information; and using interactive systems to influence people's attitudes and behaviors in positive ways. Looking forward, Brian expects to apply proven HCI methods to usability analysis or user experience research for industry, academia, or government.
