Matt Behrens currently manages information technology operations for the State of Iowa including centralized Infrastructure Services and Application Development. Matt completed undergraduate studies in computer science and humanities with Distinction from Iowa State University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from the University of Iowa Tippie School of Management. In 2010, Matt received Iowa's top recognition for state employees, the Golden Dome Government Excellence award, for his work to consolidate and streamline state technology systems. In 2011, he received the Council of State Governments Henry Toll Fellowship, the nation's premier leadership development program for state government officials. Matt has served as the Technical Adviser to the Norman Borlaug Heritage Foundation and has been a speaker and panelist on government technology topics. His research interests include: information technology strategy, the Internet and civic engagement, e-government, and technology acceptance.
