Alex is working on a Co-Major PhD in Mechanical Engineering and HCI under his Major Professor Dr. Eliot Winer. He received his BS in ME and MS in IMSE with an HCI co-major from Iowa State. His Masters research was on computer aided process planning for a Rapid Prototyping machine using a Genetic Algorithm. After graduation he spent 2 years in the Aerospace Composite Manufacturing industry. Now Alex is working with the Advanced Systems Design Suite (ASDS) project as a Research Assistant. His research focus is on using Rapid Prototyping to supplement the Conceptual Design process.
