Trevor is a M.S. student in Computer Engineering and Human Computer Interaction (HCI) with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. His major professor is Eliot Winer. He was introduced to software development during his junior year after receiving the NASA - Iowa Space Grant Consortium scholarship for independent study investigating self-organizing maps (SOMs) as a mechanism for understanding high-dimensional datasets. Immediately captivated by the workings of software development, Trevor decided to leave Mechanical Engineering and pursue a master’s degree co-majoring in his current disciplines. Continued fascination with learning new and unique software implementations has since led to many great opportunities at the Virtual Reality Applications Center (VRAC) and two internships with DreamWorks Animation.
