Ryan is from Green Bay, WI, and graduated from St. Norbert College with a B.S. majoring in Computer Science, Math, and Spanish. He has substantial experience from working as an independent technology consultant and as a contributor to a wide variety of open source projects, particularly AbiWord and VRPN. He is working on a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction with a co-major in Computer Science on Dr. Judy M. Vance's research team, developing interaction methods that facilitate natural interaction with objects in a virtual environment.
