Cyndi is an assistant professor at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. She is teaching courses in graphic design and interactive media; including web design, digital imaging, and motion graphics. She began her career in St. Louis, Missouri, working as a designer and creative director, running a business, and developing a deep love of cats. She has since sold her business, kept her cats, added two dogs, and moved to Iowa with her partner Jennifer.

She has a profound belief in serving the community in which we live, and a deep sense of spiritual connection with people. These beliefs lead her to make ethical choices and enjoy the diversity of nature.

She has a BA in Art from the University of Missouri-Columbia; an MFA in Graphic Design from Iowa State University; and is continuing work toward a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from Iowa State University.

She is working with Debra Satterfield in Art and Design.
