Tim is a native of Ames, IA and has been interested in HCI since touring the old C4 as a middle school student. After finishing his BS in Mechanical Engineerign and an MBA at ISU, he chose to work towards a PhD, comajoring in Mechanical Engineering and HCI at ISU due to the world class facilities and VRAC's excellent reocrd of spinning-off research into startup companies. His research focuses on the visualization of large data sets with applications to multiphase flow measurement. He is working with Judy Vance.
