Nicole is from Reno, Nevada. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of San Diego (USD) in 1993 and is employed at International Game Technology (IGT) in Reno.
Nicole has been programming professionally since she graduated from USD and has had great success in her field. She is a respected technical leader at IGT and in her industry. Nicole also has an extensive patent portfolio.
Now midway through her career, Nicole is ready to start the next phase. She has found the most exciting and interesting opportunities to be in the field of HCI and is interested in being on the forefront of the technological revolution being stimulated by the study of HCI. Thus, her decision to participate in the HCI program at ISU. Nicole is passionate about software architecture, design, and development and plans to utilize the theory and knowledge gained through the HCI program to further her career as a software engineer. Nicole’s imaginable opportunities utilizing her education include research and development of software and system solutions that:
• Enhance the educational experience of gifted children.
• Facilitate early and accurate detection of disease and neurological disorders.
• Assist in tracking and optimizing the performance of elite athletes.
