Born in the Dominican Republic, Gleiry lives and works in New York City. She plans to graduate in 2014 with a Masters in HCI. She has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Manhattan College (2004). Her passion for research and desire to help provide a better user experience drew her to the HCI program. She is interested in user centric research and research towards bettering quality of life. She is also interested in the psychology behind usability and how designs make assist users further.
She has over 8 years of experience working in Software Support for various industries including big software development companies, financial and educational institutions. She lives with her husband, a Fund Accountant and Air Force Reserve.
