Valerie holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She currently lives in Madison Heights, MI where she is the Reference Librarian at Davenport University. Valerie is pursuing a degree in Human Computer Interaction with the hopes of transitioning to user-experience design within the library and information field. She is interested in the psychological aspects of HCI and how companies can alter their products to best utilize human responses to interface design in order to create a positive, productive user experience.

Valerie has a keen interest in photography and in Russian language and culture. She holds an undergraduate degree in both Music and Russian, and completed coursework for a Master of Arts in Russian.
