Mandela is originally from Cameroon and attended LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, TN, where she earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science. She chose HCI because her ultimate goal in life is to improve the lives of underrepresented populations with the use of technology. Mandela is currently working with Dr. Eve Wurtele on the Meta!Blast project.
