Jia was born and raised in China where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Qingdao University in 2009. She earned a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from Towson University of Maryland in 2011 and came to Iowa State University to pursue an MS in Sociology. Her concentration in Sociology is Criminology. She is working on Computer Vision related to criminal behaviors such as Cyber-stalking, computer hacking, etc. She is working on Human Computer Interaction crimes, so she decided to pursue a MS in HCI. Her future goal is to enter into a large company to act as the CIO and focus on Information Visional delivery and digital privacy.
