Jeremy is working for James Oliver. He received a BS in computer engineering at Iowa State University. Jeremy decided to accepted a position at UGS working as a software engineer on their DirectModel large scale visualization library. During his three years with UGS he has proven himself capable of performing sophisticated duties that are not usually associated with someone having only a bachelor’s degree. Following the recommendation of his manager and his own educational objectives, he now finds himself back at ISU seeking a master's degree in human computer interaction.
Jeremy is no stranger to the Virtual Reality Application Center. As an undergraduate he fell in love with computer graphics and managed to talk his way into doing undergrad research, working on such projects as the configurator, battlespace, and the first person shooter. It was only natural that his first and only choice for graduate school would be to come back to ISU and the HCI program, even if it is as a non-traditional student attending class part time, while continuing to work in industry full time.
In his spare time, Jeremy likes to participate in a diverse set of activities such as running, lifting, Taekwondo, disc golf, and reading.
