Kevin Godby is working on his PhD in HCI. He’s primarily interested in user interface design, developmental robotics, human-robot interaction, computational linguistics, and cognitive psychology. “The HCI program appeals to me because it's at the intersection of computer science and psychology,” Godby said.

He has worked on a combine simulator and training program, using a combine cab and virtual wheat field; as well as Narcissus, a self-detection algorithm for robots; and Icarus, a VR human flight simulator.
