Regional Biomass Feedstock Partnership - Biomass Residue Removal

PI:  Kenneth Bryden

Funding Agency: South Dakota State University

Summary: The goal of this project is to provide design support for the integration of data and software systems within the residue removal analysis tool effort, as well as provide direct support for maintenance and implementation of integration software in three ways: by supporting the project trough framework maintenance and development, by assisting with design consultation toward the construction of robust informatic interfaces, and by developing a review report for residue removal tool design as a guide for futur development. This development effort requires significant integration of models and anaylsis codes for investigating the impact of agronomic limiting factors on the removal of corn stover residues for the production of ethanol. This corn stover residue removal experimentation is viewed as critical work in the research and production of biomass feedstock, a resource with tremendous potential.
