ETRC Construction Home

Synopsis
The ETRC building will provide facilities for the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics (AEEM) from College of Engineering and the following centers from the Institute for Physical Research and Technology (IPRT): the Center for Nondestructive Evaluation (CNDE), the FAA Center for Aviation Systems Reliability (CASR), and the Virtual Reality Applications Center (VRAC).
The building design include high-tech classrooms with cable, satellite, and video communications capabilities and training stations to facilitate technology transfer to industry. The intent is to combine the resources of AEEM and IPRT.
Funds are provided by alumni, friends, and businesses. Private sources constitute $7.3 million; gifts constitute $14 million.
