HCI POSTER COMPETITION

On April 11th, 2024, there will be a celebration for the 20th anniversary of the VRAC’s HCI graduate program. To emphasize VRAC’s continued support of the HCI graduate program’s success and accomplishments, VRAC is extending an opportunity to showcase your research work via a poster presentation. Poster submissions will be printed free of charge to graduate students enrolled in the HCI Graduate Program and for VRAC graduate and undergraduate research assistants.

Posters will be displayed on April 11th, 2024 from 1pm to 5pm in the Howe Hall atrium. VRAC strongly encourages all research groups to participate in the poster presentation by submitting one or more posters. The preferred method is to submit a poster that communicates your research work to the VRAC community. In addition, we strongly encourage you to attend the 20th anniversary celebration by supporting your colleagues in VRAC’s HCI graduate program by attending the celebration and voting on your favorite posters.

During the poster session, judges will be evaluating posters based on objective criteria for each of the following categories:

      1. Best overall quality of research
      2. Best professional presence
      3. Best interdisciplinary collaboration
      4. Best visual communication
      5. People’s choice

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each of the 5 categories will receive Visa gift cards with the following amounts:

      • 💲100 – 1st place
      • 💲50  –  2nd place
      • 💲25  –  3rd place

The top 3 posters from each category will be displayed prominently here on this TV as an additional recognition of your research excellence!

All posters will be hung around the various locations of the center.
