The HCI Graduate Program is pleased to offer the opportunity for students to pursue a double degree between our graduate program and two programs with the College of Design. Earn two degrees simultaneously while maintaining the high standards of both programs. In many cases, degree completion is lengthened only by one or two semesters.
Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design + Master of Science in Human Computer Interaction
- HCI and Graphic Design have teamed up to provide a path for students interested in pursuing double degrees in both programs.
- Working with Tiffany Kayser in HCI and Alex Braidwood in Graphic Design, students can craft an educational experience like what is outlined in this PDF. In the end, students will have earned an MFA in Graphic Design and an MS in HCI.
- Interested students should contact either Tiffany Kayser (HCI) and/or Alex Braidwood (Graphic Design) to begin the process.
- This double degree program cannot be completed online.
Master of Industrial Design + Master of Science in Human Computer Interaction
- HCI and Industrial Design have teamed up to provide a path (see this PDF) for students interested in pursuing double degrees in both programs.
- Currently enrolled ISU graduate students should contact either Tiffany Kayser (HCI) or Verena Paepcke-Hjeltness (Industrial Design) to begin the process.
- Prospective students will need to apply for the Master of Industrial Design degree. If accepted, you will need to meet Verena Paepcke-Hjeltness (Industrial Design) to begin the next step in this double degree process.
- This double degree program cannot be completed online.
